Why an Autogyro ?
An autogyro (aka gyroplane, aka gyrocopter) is a type of rotorcraft invented by Juan de la Cierva in 1919. As with a helicopter, a rotor provides the lift for an autogyro, but unlike the helicopter's rotor, it is not powered by an engine, being driven by aerodynamic forces alone once the autogyro is in flight. An engine-powered propeller, similar to that of a fixed-wing aircraft, provides thrust for the autogyro.
